North Houston Swing Dance Club
The North Houston Swing Dance Club is located in the city of Humble just 25 minutes drive from downtown Houston and offers private lessons as well as a group dancing session. The club meets every Thursday from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. and the dance classes officially start at 8 p.m. with members being encouraged to take to the floor for an open dance session before and after the lessons. Instructors are on hand to provide one to one tutoring and there are individual rooms for private lessons and group sessions. The club provides refreshments for its members and holds a quarterly competition, awarding prizes for such things as most attendance. 2010 membership begins at $45 for 6 months and $60 for 12 months.

Club Tropicana
For fans of Salsa and Latin music, head to Club Tropicana where a selection of live bands and orchestras play a range of Latin music. Located close to the Inner Loop on Fondren Road, Club Tropicana is an exciting club that regularly has a crowded dance floor, largely thanks to the vibrant music being performed by the variety of bands that perform there. Open Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, Club Tropicana is open from 9 p.m. until 2 a.m. and offers free salsa lessons between 9 and 10 p.m. every Tuesday and Friday.

Wild West Houston
Located along Richmond Avenue close to the Uptown area of Houston, the Wild West Houston is a country music night club that invites you to listen to a mix of live music and jukebox tunes whilst learning traditional country dance steps. Open 6 days a week, the club hosts dance lessons every Sunday from 4.30 p.m. until 6 where patrons can learn country dance steps such as the two step, whilst from Tuesday to Sunday, the resident DJ encourages the crowd to take to floor to dance to their favorite country songs. As well as country dancing, the Wild West Houston also hosts a variety of events on a regular basis including free pool nights, ladies night and weekly happy hours on Friday and Saturday.
