Write My Title In Graffiti Lettering

Create your own graffiti-style tag.

Tagging is as much an art form as it is a social plague. Many people would like to learn to artistically write their name in a gangster style. They would like to know how their name would look up on the side of a bridge or on the sidewalk. Graffiti is so commonplace it is contagious. Just for the fun of it, many people want to express their own inner gangster hip hop style.

Instructions

1. Take the basic letters of your name and exaggerate them. Imagine each letter as if you hooked up a hose of a bicycle pump and filled it with air. Trace the outline of your inflated first letter. Step back and admire your work. Visualize the second letter, and guide your pen around the outside of your mental image. Continue until you have tagged your exaggerated, bold fat name on the paper.

2. Create a lean and mean image of your name in your head. Imagine each letter with dangerous pointed edges. For dagger-like points with the letters, use as many angles and edges as the letters of your name will allow. Spike out your name with attitude until you are afraid to pick up the page with your bare hand. Make the edges sharp.

3. Write some of the letters backwards for a defiant image. Try others upside down. Change up the size of the letters as you go. Keep the reader off guard with pictures and faces hidden within your name. The key is to go against all tradition whenever possible. Dot your letter I on the bottom of the letter. Make your letter C face left. You set the tone.

4. Make your letters scream out your rage as they say your name. Make vowels like the letter O large and put a tongue hanging out like a mouth. Write in all capitals, which in texting language indicates screaming or yelling.
