Stamp Crafts

Stamping crafts is as easy as dipping and dabbing.

Thousands upon thousands of stamps are available on the crafting market for decorating and labeling purposes. The combinations of letters and numbers, words, characters, designs and fonts are outrageous, and provide endless hours of creativity for crafting. One of the simplest ways to personalize a craft project, stamping can be as easy as a two step process, or as advanced as layering ink colors and embossing designs with texture.

Paper Crafts

Basic stamping for paper crafts like cards or scrapbook pages is as simple as dipping the stamp in ink and dabbing onto the project. Any regular ink pad and rubber stamp can be used to add a design to paper. To easily add color to a stamped image, crafters can use markers, crayons or colored pencils to color in the image.

Fabric

It is important to test stamp designs on scrap fabric before applying to the actual garment. To stamp fabric crafts like clothing, hats or tote bags, any stamp can be used in combination with fabric stamp ink. Permanent fabric ink is formulated to be heat set by an iron after the design has completely dried.

Gift Wrap

Stamps can be used on wrapping paper and gift bags to design personalized gift wrap for any occasion. Repeating the dipping and dabbing process each time you stamp ensures solid inking across the gift wrap. Take gift wrap from plain to personalized by creating a stamped pattern on your packaging.

Labels

Personalized "to and from" or "made by" stamps can be created to add labels to handmade goods and crafts. Custom orders or alphabet letters, can be stamped onto scrapbook paper, vellum or sticker paper and cut out to label favors or tags.
