Help Make Your Own Television Show

Many people dream of being producers of a television sitcom, drama, game or adventure show. You will have to work hard to get your own show and you will need a lot of money to get a TV show started and off and running on national airways. You will need to hire writers, or be a writer to start your own TV show.

Instructions

1. Decide how you want to construct the set for your own TV show. Think about decorating, theme, location, city, what type of rooms will it be filmed in, what type of games you will have if it is a game show, and what type of furniture you will place on the set.

2. Write the script for your show. Figure out which genre you're interested in. Decide if you want your sbe action or character-driven; often the best shows have both elements.

3. Hire some actors or persuade your friends and family to act in your show. Figure out who the main characters are and center your attention and the plot line around them.

4. Then start taping some episodes. Tape as many episodes as you can with the help of a production team and some production equipment. As the director, you will need to provide creative direction and inspiration as well as money.

5. Start editing. Go through each segment that you have taped and edit out the parts you want to get rid of. Blend some segments together and make sure to have commercials in place.

6. Remember to edit and place your opening and ending credits at the beginning and end of your film with the producers name as well as the production team and actors.

7. Find a television station that might want to air your show. Send them your pilot episodes and wait to see if they call to give you a time slot for your very own television show.
