Select A Wireless Guitar System

A wireless guitar system keeps you from being restrained by cables and wires during a live show so you can move freely around the stage. Wireless systems are available at prices anwhere from $100 to $1,000. Choosing the right system for you just takes some basic research and self-education on the topic.

Instructions

1. Decide what your shopping budget is, then research what you can get at or near that number. Research the features of wireless guitar systems in every price range and, based on your needs and available cash, narrow down your choices.

2. Ask around for opinions on what kind of wireless guitar system you should purchase. This will give you a starting point in your search for one that's right for you. Getting opinions from other musicians is a great way to weigh some options.

3. Decide how long a wireless distance and how wide a frequency you need. If you play on large stages, arenas and stadiums, you'll need a system with 300 feet or more of wireless distance and more than 1,000 wireless frequencies. If you play on smaller stages, you can get a less expensive system that doesn't extend as far.

4. Find out what kind of batteries each system takes. Possibly the most important maintenance aspect of owning a wireless guitar system is keeping the power supply fresh. If you don't, your system may stop working in the middle of a performance. Make sure the system you purchase uses a commonly available battery type.
