Tours In Friedrichshafen Germany

The Zeppelin Museum explains the history behind airships that were built and housed in Friedrichshafen.

Friedrichshafen, Germany, is on the lakefront of Lake Constance, which also borders Switzerland and Austria. Historically, Friedrichshafen was a significant port for ships and ferries, and it housed hangars for airships built there. Today, Friedrichshafen is a modern town known for its cafes and restaurants along the lakefront, the Zeppelin Museum and the Dornier Museum. Guided tours are available to assist you during your visit.

Airship Initiatives Ltd,

Friedrichshafen's history was influenced by Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin, who flew his first rigid-framed airship in 1900 and opened engineering companies in the area to make engines and parts for the aircraft. Because of this, Friedrichshafen was bombed during World War II, and most of the town's buildings were destroyed. Airship Initiatives Ltd. offers tours that include a scenic look over Friedrichshafen in a Zeppelin NT airship, a visit to a hangar in which airships once were housed and stops at the Zeppelin Museum and other historic sites.
