See If An Goal Profile Is available

Look up profiles of your friends and family.

Instant messaging is a great way to connect with people all over the world. Whether you communicate via message or video, you can chat with co-workers and friends. AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) has been available to Internet users since 1997, but it has seen many upgrades since then. In 2009, AIM released the AOL Lifestream. This new program serves as an AIM user's profile, delivering Facebook, Twitter and status updates all at once. You also can post a picture and search for friends. Looking up a profile to see if it exists is a useful way to find out if a particular screen name is available.

Instructions

1. Write down the screen name of the user you want to research.

2. Copy and paste the link "http://lifestream.aol.com/stream/" into your Internet browser.

3. Type the screen name of the profile you want to check out at the end of the URL.

4. Hit "Enter." If the profile exists, you will be able to view it. If the profile does not exist or has recently been deleted, an error page will appear saying, "These aren't the bunnies you're looking for... ."
