1. Start with a circle for the cat's head. Draw two triangles for ears on top of the head, one on the right side and another on the left side.
2. Sketch two small circles for eyes in the upper half of the head circle. Color in half of the small circles. Draw an upside-down triangle between both eyes for the nose.
3. Make a small line starting at the bottom point of the nose and continuing about halfway to the bottom of the circle. At the bottom of the line, draw a U-shaped line for the mouth. Add whiskers near both sides of the cat's mouth by drawing slightly curved lines.
4. Outline the body as a horizontal oval beginning under the head.
5. Add four legs and paws under the oval body. First draw two small, egg-shaped paws a couple of inches below the body--one right behind the other in the front. Repeat for the back paws. Draw lines connecting the paws to the body.
