Draw A Cartoon Wombat

Wombats are cute animals that many people enjoy seeing at the zoo or in the wild. Drawing a wombat is not difficult if you take the time to practice. By drawing a few simple circular shapes, you can create an adorable wombat for any occasion.

Instructions

1. Begin by drawing an oval bean shape. This shape will be used as the body of the wombat. It will also be used as a guide when drawing the head and feet. This shape can be as large as you choose, depending on your needs.

2. Create the head of the wombat by erasing the front of the oval. In this space, draw a semi-circle that's slightly square shaped on the outer edge. Leave an opening at the back to create the illusion of a neck. At the top of this opening, draw two triangles with rounded edges to create ears.

3. Draw two small oval-shaped semi-circles at the bottom of the large oval. Leave a small opening at the top. These circles should hug the larger oval shape. Create three short heavy lines at the bottom of the small ovals. These will be the wombat's claws.

4. Give the wombat a facial expression by adding eyes, eyebrows and a nose. The nose should be placed at the bottom of the face. The facial expression of the wombat is an angry one, so make sure to draw eyebrows at an angle.

5. Complete the wombat drawing by adding hair. Draw a series of small lines all over the body, head and feet. You can also create a background by drawing a hillside or ravine for the wombat to live in. A series of sloping lines will create the perfect background.
