Develop A Holiday Light Show

Holiday light shows are a simple way to light up the winter chill that descends upon us during this season. Whether you are adding a few extra lights to your door frame or going all out and lighting the whole house, this is one decorating job that will lift the spirits of everyone who sees your home, including yourself. Not only will you benefit from spreading holiday cheer, but you will feel a sense of accomplishment for creating such a masterpiece.

Instructions

1. Stand on a ladder to measure the perimeter of the doorways and window frames. Measure all other surfaces that you plan to decorate, like the garage frame or bushes out on the front lawn.

2. Spread all of the lights out on the ground. Check for any broken lights. Replace spent lights with new ones. Examine for any frayed cords. Throw out any frayed cords.

3. Locate a couple of power outlets for the lights. Plug extension cords into outlets.

4. Tape lights to surfaces with generous amounts of tape. Leave enough room for the end of the string to reach the extension cords. Hammer nails a few inches apart to provide extra support for lights.

5. Plug lights into power socket. Readjust lights if needed.
