Loop the ribbon over the center of the ribbon. The ribbon is now crossing over the top of the center with the tail hanging down.

3. Repeat to create a loop on the left side of the ribbon.

4. Cross the loops over the center mark of the ribbon to make an "X."

5. Cut a 6-inch piece of embroidery floss. Lay the floss on a flat surface and place the center of the ribbon on top of the floss. Take each end of the floss and tie a knot in the floss. Flip the ribbon over and tie a double knot in the floss at the back of the ribbon. Arrange the ribbons to achieve the best look.

6. Use a hot glue gun to apply glue to the front of an alligator hair clip. Press the center of the ribbon to the glue. Let dry.

7. Cut the ends of the ribbon at a diagonal.
