Create A Rechargeable Air Can In My Spray Painter

Use a refillable air canister to power a spray gun when a compressor is not available.

Spray guns are reusable spray paint canisters powered by compressed air. A refillable air canister is ideal for on-the-road jobs and other situations when a power outlet is not available to power an air compressor. Some compressors are also quite large, making it impossible to bring them to a work site. Compressors are also loud. A portable canister of compressed air will not create a noise disturbance, so it's ideal for use in residential areas and for nighttime projects. In addition, compressed air canisters can be refilled at a gas station, bypassing the need to purchase or own a compressor.

Instructions

1. Turn on the air compressor by pressing the "On" button or by inserting money into a coin-operated compressor.

2. Open the air tank valve by twisting the round dial toward the left. This will "unlock" the air tank valve.

3. Attach the compressor hose to the valve on the portable compressed air tank. The air flow will begin once the hose end completely covers the valve on the air tank.

4. Monitor the gauge on the compressed air tank. The gauge looks like a gas tank display, with "Empty" at one side of the dial and "Full" on the other side of the dial. Fill the air tank until the needle lands on "Full."

5. Remove the hose from the air tank valve and twist the dial toward the right to secure the valve in the "closed" position.

6. Turn off the air compressor by turning the switch to "off." Coin-operated compressors will turn off automatically after a few minutes.

7. Bring the air canister, a compressor hose and the spray gun to the work site. Connect the hose to the air canister and the spray gun.

8. Twist the air canister valve to the left to pressurize the line. Depress the paint spray gun trigger to start the air flow.

9. Twist the air canister valve to the right to cut off the air flow once the job is complete.
