Visit the de Young Museum

The M.H. de Young Museum, located within San Francisco's Golden Gate Park, is just west of the city's Union Square and financial districts. The fine arts museum, founded in 1895, moved to a new 293,000-square foot structure in 2005. The museum's collection includes over 1000 paintings by American artists, dating from the early 17th century through the 20th century, as well as a sizeable collection of African and Oceanic art.
