Auto Custom Fresh paint Ideas

A custom paint job could portray a favorite mascot.

If you're thinking of livening up your car with a custom paint job, choose a design that shows your personality. Hire a professional who specializes in custom paint jobs so the design looks neat rather than sloppy and have a detailed conversation with him about how you want your car to look.

Space

Have your car painted with a space theme, using a black, dark blue or purple background. The background could also fade from one color to the next in a gradient. Have faraway galaxies shining in the background, with a line of planets along with moons and comets running down the side of the car. Use light colors, such as silvery white, for everything but the background. Add small sprinklings of stars for extra sparkle.

Dragonflies

Paint a cluster of dragonflies flying upward. Have a chain of dragonflies begin midway down the side of the car and sweep upward en masse above the rear wheel. Use bold, contrasting colors with dark accents on a light or medium-colored car, or light colors on a dark car, as with the space design.

Zigzagging Stripes

Have multicolored stripes painted down the sides of the car in a zigzagging pattern. Choose two or three colors that complement the base coat, outlining each stripe with black or a light color to help it stand out. Slant the stripes downward toward the front or back wheel for a sleek, stylish look.

Interlocking Shapes

Create a cluster of interlocking geometric shapes on the trunk of the car, such as triangles, circles and squares, wrapping it partway around the sides of the vehicle. Paint the outline of each shape in a different color, leaving the middle open, and have the shapes link. Create a random pattern, as if they're cascading over the back of the car and wrapping midway around.

Wildlife

Some artists specialize in murals of wildlife, such as wolves and eagles, as JoAnn Bortles says in "Custom Paint Your Car." It's probably no coincidence that these are animals known for their strength, as many cars have been named after animals seen as powerful, such as the mustang and jaguar. Give your car a sense of vitality with a mural of your favorite animal, and a natural background like forests and mountains.

Organization

If you own a business, consider painting your car to match the theme of your company. For instance, if you're a florist, have an artist paint bright, colorful flowers wrapping around the car, with your business name and logo on the doors in an elegant script.
