Power Painter
Painting can be done by hand or by using a power paint gun. Once type of power paint gun that you can use is a High Volume Low Pressure (HVLP) paint gun. A HLVP paint gun uses compressed air to force the paint out of the gun when applying paint to a surface. These types of paint gun are available from many manufacturers, including Wagner.
Instructions
1. Attach the suction tube to the bottom of the spray painter. Align the tube so that it will lay at an angle to the back of the reservoir.
2. Connect the air hose from the air compressor to the connector on the spray painter.
3. Turn on the air compressor and let it build up pressure.
4. Prepare the paint that you want to use and then fill the reservoir for the paint sprayer.
5. Attach the reservoir by screwing it to the bottom of the spray gun.
6. Adjust the spray pattern of the paint by turning the knob on the nozzle of the spray painter. Turn the knob one click to select a different spray pattern.
7. Adjust the flow of the paint by turning the knob on the back of the paint gun. Turn the knob to the right to increase the flow of paint and to the left to decrease the flow.
8. Press the trigger and spray a small amount of paint on a scrap piece of wood or cardboard. This will allow you to see how the paint comes out of the painter.
9. Make any adjustments to the spray painter and then begin painting.
