Create different size embroideries with the 3D embroidery software "Endless Hoop" feature.
Holiday inspired motifs or solid colored garments can be redesigned, restyled and recreated with 3D embroidery software. Though each software brand differs, most programs include the "Endless Hoop" feature. Once the artwork is scanned into the 3D embroidery software, specific dimensions can be plugged into the endless hoop feature and resized prior to stitching out the design. The embroidery machine and 3D software must be compatible in order to implement this feature.
Instructions
1. Measure the width and length of the area for the embroidery placement with a ruler or flexible tape measure.
2. Open the 3D embroidery software on your computer. Scan the artwork into the program's image pad or drawing area. Save the original artwork scan in the "My Designs" folder. (Folder names vary according to the 3D software brand.)
3. Open the graphic. Make sure the design is centered in your image pad prior to selecting the hoop size.
4. Select the grid size by clicking on the "Screen Tab" feature. Most selections are located across the top of the screen referred to as the ribbon bar. The grid size will depend on the desired embroidery size. Plug in the desired width and length. Click "Apply" and then "OK" to activate. The adjusted grid will appear on your screen.
5. Open the "Edit Tab" feature and move the embroidery design to the top end of the grid line. Programs such as the Husqvarna Viking embroidery software require the user to select "Make Block from Visible Area" from the drop-down menu.
6. Click "Preferences," then "Hoop Size" to open the plug-in dimensions window. The Pfaff 3D requires the user to click on the "Preference Icon" to select the hoop size.
7. Plug in the dimensions from Step 1. Check the program's conversion table prior to plugging in dimensions such as inches or millimeters. Certain programs have a small, mid-size or large hoop size selection.
8. Click on the appropriate hoop size to activate the "Endless Hoop" feature and embroider the design on the fabric.
