Overnight Acting Camps For Teens

Learning to act on film is one of the skills practiced at teen acting camps.

For teenagers with a flair for the dramatic, learning to act can be a creative outlet and a gateway to self-confidence. And for parents, finding a good summer camp for teens can be a welcome break from routine. If you are a parent looking for an acting camp for your teen, there are possibilities from Hollywood to Switzerland.

New York Film Academy Summer Film and Acting Camps

The New York Film Academy offers acting for film camps taking place over one-, three- and four-week sessions, along with weekend sessions. Locations in the United States include Cambridge, Massachusetts, Hollywood, California and New York City, New York; and locations abroad are in France, Italy and Switzerland. The focus is on technique, scene composition, and voice and movement.

Young Performer's Hollywood Boot Camp

Taking place in Los Angeles, this camp gives teens opportunities to practice the craft of acting along with learning the business of film and television, including succeed in auditions, networking and finding representation.

Young Actor's Camp

This camp takes place in Hollywood annually. Programs are designed with the age, experience and ability of the camper in mind. These include Pre-Professional, a four-day workshop that helps young actors build their resume, network and hone their skills, and Casting Call, which takes campers through the process of appearing on film.

School of Creative and Performing Arts

The School of Creative and Performing Arts offers camps in California, Vermont and New York, which take place over a three-week period. Faculty and guest artists from film and television make regular contributions by leading workshops, photo shoots and seminars. Campers will develop a portfolio of work from their performances, which are recorded by film students.
