2. Prepare for the next salsa dance step as you are finishing the previous step. There is no pause in between the two steps. If your first step ends with the counts of 5, 6, 7, 8, then move right into count 1 of the next step. Salsa dance steps are to the beat of the music on an eight count for the actual step.

3. Place your arms and hands in the area at the end of one dance step where they will flow right into the next step. If your hands are held tightly with your partner in the step you are finishing, but barely touching or separated in the following step, then, you need to be loosening your hold to only a touch by the final count of the step your are finishing to move into the next step.

4. Shift your body weight at the end of the salsa step you are finishing to flow into the next salsa step you are preparing to move into performing.

5. Practice your connecting movements between each salsa dance step to the next one so that it becomes second nature to you during your dance. Before long, you will not even notice the transition from one combination salsa step to the next one.
