Make Airbrush Fresh paint

Airbrush paint can easily be made at home in large quantities for art or event purposes. With the large amounts you can make at home, it is much less expensive to do this rather than to buy them, especially if you use the airbrush paint often. If you can't find the color you are searching for, create it at home. Many types of paint work for airbrushing, but watercolors and acrylics work best.

Instructions

1. Decide what airbrush paint colors you want to create. Food dye/coloring will be the way you create these colors, so you can mix and match to create new, vibrant and different colors that are not available in food dye. If you need to do this, mix all the colors you will need during this step.

2. Combine the full amount of baking soda and vinegar. Let it sit for a couple minutes to absorb. Next, add the full amount of cornstarch and glycerin.

3. Use the spoon, or an electric mixer, to mix the paint until it is smooth and not lumpy. It is important that there are no lumps. Add the food coloring to the desired color and shade. If you are making multiple colors, separate each batch into different containers, then add the coloring.

4. Add the water slowly to the mixture. This is to thin it out to the consistency you want for your airbrush paint. Stir thoroughly once again or use the electric mixer. Using an electric mixer will ensure no lumps or evident.

5. Add the paint to the airbrush gun and experiment with the consistency on a canvas or model.
