Converting a photo into a pencil drawingt is easy.
Whether it is a cherished family portrait or a photo you took that turned out to be stunning, you may want to display it as pencil drawing. There are many free tools on the Internet that let you convert a photo into a pencil drawing. But if you want the satisfaction of doing it yourself, Photoshop lets you work on your photos with relative ease.
Instructions
1. Open Photoshop. Open the picture you want to convert.
2. Click "Layers," "New," then "Layer via Copy." This will create a new layer for you to work with so that the original picture is safe.
3. Click on "Image," choose "Adjustments," then select "Desaturate." This will make your image black and white.
4. Click on "Layers," "New," "Layer via Copy." Make sure this new layer is at the top of your layers in the "Layers" window. Click on it to highlight and select it.
5. Click "Image," "Adjustments," "Invert." This will make your image look like a negative.
6. Click on the drop-down box at the top of the "Layers" window and choose "Color Dodge." The image will turn white, or almost white.
7. Go to "Filters," "Blur," "Gaussian blur." This will make the sketch effect appear. Adjust up. The higher you go on the scale, the stronger the sketch effect will look. A good medium point is around 12.
