Instructions
Hand Painting
1. Use COPIC markers directly on surfaces such as canvas, ceramic, fabric, fur and faux fur, glass, leather, paper or wood.
2. Design freehand using either side of the marker -- there is a broad nib and a fine nib.
3. Layer or blend COPIC paints. The COPIC colorless blender pen allows you to make corrections and achieve fading or lightening effects. To apply, touch the nib of your colored COPIC marker of choice to the nib of the colorless blender pen. Apply gentle pressure for the blender pen to absorb some color.Use the blender pen to apply color to your design. As you use the blender pen initially, the color will appear darker then gradually appear lighter with use. Reapply color to the blender pen or mix colors to your preference.
4. Apply a sealant to your finished project to extend the paint life and protect it from scratches -- a risk when painting a glazed or glossy surfaces such as ceramic or glass. Choose the sealant type appropriate for your work surface, ensuring it does not contain ethanol or any other type of alcohol in the ingredients. The COPIC markers dry almost instantly upon application. Refer to the manufacturer's instructions regarding drying time for the sealant you choose.
Airbrushing
5. Connect the air can or air compressor adaptor into the base of the air grip.
6. Insert the broad nib of your COPIC pen pointing upward into the air grip below the finger pad.
7. Apply pressure to the finger pad to spray.
