Apply Black Board Fresh paint

Create Your Own Chalk board

Chalkboard paint is fun way for kids and adults alike to turn any surface into a chalkboard. If you've ever wished you had a surface you could draw on with chalk and wipe away with ease, you may want to turn one of the walls in your home into a chalkboard wall. Chalkboard paint is great for a wall of the kitchen, playroom or media room. If you are planning on applying chalkboard paint on your wall this weekend, there are a few things you'll need to do before your chalkboard wall is ready to be written on. Follow the steps below to apply chalkboard paint to a wall in your home.

Instructions

1. Purchase chalkboard paint at your local craft or hardware store. Chalkboard paint is available at "Michael's," "Home Depot," and lots of other local stores. You can also purchase chalkboard paint online.

2. Stir chalkboard paint carefully with your paintbrush.

3. Wash the flat surface you want to paint. Use soap and water, scrub thoroughly, then wipe with a clean, damp cloth.

4. Apply a coat of chalkboard paint to your clean, flat surface. Allow to dry for three days to cure.

5. Rub chalk across the entire surface of your wall. Allow to sit for several seconds, then erase with a chalk eraser. Your chalkboard is ready to use.
