Create A Website For Any Dj

Fans want their DJs to be accessible, cutting edge and in touch with the latest trends. Websites designed for DJs need to reflect and fulfill those expectations.

Instructions

1. Collect digital photographs of the DJ in action. If a DJ is known for being outrageous and funny, then the photos should reflect that. If he is laid back and mellow, the photos should reflect that as well. Pick the best photos for the DJ and load them onto the computer to use later. Collect audio samples of the DJ that are interesting and show his or her style. Convert them to MP3 if they are not already in that format.

2. Load the MP3 files onto a podcast server. There are free and low-cost podcast servers available. Once the files are uploaded, collect the HTML coding that allows you to embed the podcasts onto a website. Place the coding into a word processor file for now.

3. Sign up with a website hosting service. Many of them will have easy-to-use templates that allow you to easily create websites without needing to understand HTML coding. Set up the basic layout for the website. A good layout to begin with would be a front page for news, a bio page, a picture page, and an audio page for the podcasts. Add the background color or images, and customize the navigational buttons.

4. Upload the digital pictures to the server, and place the pictures where you want them. Besides the pictures page, you will want a photo of the DJ on each of the other pages. Add the HTML coding for the podcasts on the audio page. You can also add the most recent podcast onto the front page.

5. Add the text for the bio page and the front page. Things to consider including are dates and locations of personal appearances, the on-air schedule and music industry news.
