Create A Book In A Youthful Age

Many young people love to write and some look for ways to get their words in print. Publishing a book can be a long and difficult process, but here are some tips you can follow to publish a book even if you're very young.

Instructions

1. Brainstorm story ideas and make an outline. One step at a time, write down your story until it is finished. Take it slowly so that you don't get overwhelmed.

2. Have friends, parents, and teachers look over your story to get their opinions. Take their advice and revise your story as you see fit.

3. Learn writing terms so that you are familiar with the publishing world. Look up terms such as copyright, publication rights, query letter, synopsis and guidelines. Find out what they mean because you will need these later on.

4. Go to the bookstore or library and look at books in the same genre that you wrote. Check out the name of the publishers and research them on the Internet. You can also look on the Internet for book publishers. Find one you like and look at the types of books they publish. If they are similar to what you wrote, they may be a good fit for your book.

5. Write an attention getting query letter about your story and also a synopsis. There are many resources in order to help you with this. The best way to learn is to read a writing guidebook that lists examples of query letters.

6. Send your query letter, cover letter and synopsis to a publisher that you have researched well. Make sure everything is free of typos and grammatical errors.
