Write A Telemarketing Script For Rug Cleaning

A call script can help you attract more customers.

When starting or building your carpet cleaning business, you'll need to consistently find new customers. One effective method for gaining new customers is simply calling them on the phone. However, when calling a prospective customer to offer your services, you need to be prepared. If you're asking your employees to make these calls, then you need to make sure they're prepared. You can keep the process simple and effective by creating a telemarketing script when calling customers about your carpet cleaning services.

Instructions

1. Avoid starting your script with questions, such as "Do you have a few minutes to talk" or "How are you?" Instead, greet the prospective customer by name and introduce yourself immediately, such as "Hello Mr. Johnson. My name is Pete Smith, and I'm with Xyz Carpet Cleaners."

2. Follow your introduction with one sentence that describes your carpet cleaning services. If possible, say something that sets you apart from other cleaners. For example, you might specialize in after-hours carpet cleaning for professional offices.

3. Mention who referred you to the potential customer if you were referred by someone. This is important to mention because the person will be more likely to listen to you if he knows who sent you to him.

4. Describe your carpet cleaning services in more detail. Avoid using industry jargon, and focus on the needs of your potential customer. For example, you might focus on how your carpet cleaning services are very cost-effective compared to the local competition.

5. Ask for a meeting. At this point, you shouldn't ask the potential customer to book you for carpet cleaning services. For now, you just want to meet with them for 10 to 15 minutes, so they can get to know you and your company. That's the overall goal of your telemarketing script.
