Cleaning vomit and urine out of car upholstery can be a disgusting chore. If you went partying the night before or took someone home that was ill, you might have to clean up this type of mess. You can either clean up the mess in your own garage or take your car to one of the new car washes. The new car wash locations usually have a vacuum and shampooer. If you do not have these at home, going to a local car wash may be your only solution.
Instructions
1. Let the vomit and urine dry. This will make cleaning the upholstery faster and more effective.
2. Use the vacuum to remove the solid vomit. You will want to go over this area several times to bring up particles that may have been mashed into the upholstery.
3. Use the Natural Cat Stain & Odor Eliminator or equivalent on the stained areas. Petsmart and other pet stores carry this product. If you cannot find this certain brand, other cat odor eliminators may work as well. Check for the effectiveness of odor and stain removal of the product you choose.
4. Apply the cat stain remover to the saturated areas with the applicator. Test the Natural Cat Stain & Odor Eliminator on an area that is not visible. This is to make sure that your upholstery will hold its color when the product is used. Once the upholstery has been tested, use the cat stain liquid on the areas that the vomit and urine are present. Generously apply the liquid to your upholstery. Let it stand for at least 15 minutes.
5. Use your towel to blot the stained areas after 15 minutes.
6. Use the carpet shampooer as a final touch. Sweep the shampooer over the entire upholstery area, even on the parts that were not touched by the vomit and urine. This, along with the Natural Cat Stain & Odor Eliminator, will ensure that the car is completely clean of vomit and urine.
