Located in bustling and hectic Grand Central Station, Papyrus is a tranquil place to look through gorgeous greeting cards, notebooks and other paper items. The staff is very friendly and warm, adding to the serenity of the shop. The variety of paper here is endless. Be sure to look through the gorgeous wrapping paper selection too.

5. Shop at House of Cards & Curiosities on 8th Avenue in the West Village. With a name like that, how could you not be curious enough to wander in this store? The store is very cluttered, but that's part of the unique charm. Not only is there an abundance of quirky and cute greeting cards, there are other random items available as well, whether it's magnets or figurines. You never know just what you'll come across at this store. This is an ideal place to get a friend a good-natured and fun birthday gift. Not to mention, the card selection is unbelievable!
