Dance The Robot

The robot dance is a crowd favorite and a fun routine to perform. However, the movements can get quite intricate if you do them properly. Master these steps to be the best dancing robot on the floor.

Instructions

1. Decide which variation of the robot suits your dance skills. There are a few variations; the traditional robot, the broken robot and the malfunctioner.

2. Pick music that has a distinctive beat and a beat that can be identified easily. Listen to the music and feel the beat so you can begin to do the robot dance.

3. Imagine a robot and begin to move your limbs in a stiff fashion that mimics a robot. Recall break-dancing culture of the 1980s, if you are unfamiliar, refer to videos of 1980s hip hop culture dancing.

4. Pop your limbs in a fashion that represents a stiff jointed style. Continue to pop your limbs in a robotic fashion but only every few beats, robots do not move terribly fast.

5. Repeat the following steps until the end of the song. Have fun and think mechanical, if necessary only move your arms as robots often have conjoined legs that are not fluid.
