Designing your own abstract wallpapers for your home desktop will draw on your creativity, hone developing graphics skills and give you a unique piece of art to view as often as you utilize your computer. Instructions
1. Assess your tools and get to know what your capabilities are. Play around with the features of your Paint program; be willing to make several nonsense pictures in order to gain better control over the tools, colors, and options available to you. They can be deleted or reworked if you are not satisfied with the results. The important thing is to have fun and learn use the program first.
2. View famous abstract paintings or favorite art designs and sketch some basic ideas out. Juan Gris, Pablo Picasso, and Piet Mondrian are all excellent examples of artists who used abstract perspectives and methods to create rich, complex art. With Paint's simple tools, Cubism may feel most comfortable at first, but you are encouraged to branch out into the curved layers of color as displayed in the work of artists such as Thaneeya McArdle and Henri Matisse.
3. Set the size of your blank image to the dimensions of your screen. Go to the "Image" menu and select "Attributes." Change the width and height to match the screen resolution of your desktop. Make certain that you have selected "pixels" as your unit of measurement and "colors" unless you prefer your image to be black and white.
4. Select the tools you wish to use for a framework. Use straight or curved lines to sketch out the basic form you wish your image to take. Begin adding layers of color and shapes to bring your artistic vision into being. For complex images, use thinner lines and smaller strokes. For simplistic splashes of color, thick lines are best. If you make a mistake, use the "Undo" option under the "Edit" menu to remove your last addition.
5. Save your finished piece. Right-click on your desktop and select the option for screen savers and backgrounds. Click "Browse" and select the folder in which you have saved your image. Find your picture and select "Center" for your image, as it will fit the width and height of your screen. Celebrate your success before moving on to your next art project.
