Drawing anime is entertaining and productive.
Refine your technique by learning to draw detailed anime people. Anime, an abbreviation for Japanese animation, is characterized by characters with large eyes, wild costumes and piercing voices. Most anime people are drawn with very little detail in order to streamline the animation process. The fewer lines there are to draw from one frame of animation to the next, the quicker cartoons get done. During the design phase, artists will create more detailed drawings of anime characters for reference.
Instructions
1. Sketch out a figure using simple lines to delineate the limbs and shape of the head. This phase of drawing is where you can erase your lines in order to redraw them until all of your proportions are correct.
2. Fill out your anime figure by drawing cylinders for the arms, legs and torso.
3. Add detail to the face by drawing the eyes and mouth. To keep with the anime style, make the eyes three to four times larger than they would be in a realistic rendering.
4. Study pictures of real people and add in matching details on your character. Simple anime characters are smooth skinned, but a thorough drawing will have lines around the eyes and mouth.
5. Clothe your character and add the seams and buttons that would not normally be visible in a low-detail rendering.
